I Reduced My Diabetes Medication To Once-a-day…

The following is a case study from one of our recent graduates, she graduated in a remarkable time Alhamdulilah in just under 3 months. She shares how she helped treat a young male with Type 2 Diabetes who also had left shoulder and neck pain from a terrible accident. The Patient was on medication twice a day to reduce blood sugar spikes/levels.

The Patients activity level and dietary lifestyle were not ideal due to the nature of his work as he was required to travel often. His blood sugar levels were rarely below 175 and sometimes went as high as 250. The Patient felt tired and weak after a blood sugar spike and it took a couple days to recuperate. The pain on his left shoulder and neck was worsening due to a number of accidents that injured the same area of pain thus causing swelling and further pain. This further increased his levels of stress causing headaches and strain.

Treatment

The patient had a number of Hijama sessions along with implementing lifestyle and dietary changes. My goal as a practitioner by the Will of Allah, was to help reduce his blood sugar levels and reduce the pain in his neck.

Before his first Hijama treatment, his Blood sugar level was 175 and the pain in his neck was very painful. He had Hijama and after resting he noticed his Blood Sugar Level dropped to 127. Over the next session he had moving cupping over the painful neck area which reduced his pain and surprisingly the swelling reduced on the painful area significantly. Between sessions his sugar levels did fluctuate. Before his next Hijama session his sugar level was 153 which after Hijama treatment went down to 140. Upon his next Hijama treatment he felt less pressure and strain around his face. Before this treatment his blood sugar level was 150 and after treatment was 138. By the next session he realised the pressure he had in his head was decreasing. Before treatment his Blood Sugar Level was 160 and after treatment it was 133.
During his next session he had Hijama performed on the Sunnah points. Hijamah on the back and neck has many benefits as stated in the ahadith:
The Prophet (PBUH) said: “The best treatment is Hijama Cupping; it removes blood, lightens the back and sharpens the eyesight.” (Reference: At Tirmidhi, 3053)
“Hijama Cupping on the back of the neck treat seventy-two illnesses” (Collected by At-Tabarani)
Before his next treatment his blood Sugar Level was 130. After treatment it was 124. By the patients most recent session the previous swelling around his neck was now barely visible and the pain in his neck was very minimal. His blood sugar level was 130 before treatment and after it was 122.

Results

Results showed Hijama did help this individual lower blood sugar levels although they did fluctuate it is remarkable to know what a powerful tool Hijama is.  The Patient reported a decrease in blood sugar levels even after the most recent treatment and this he feels is due to the Hijama, eating healthier and exercising every other day. The neck swelling and pain decreased significantly. Alhamdulilah.  The Patient’s posture is straighter, face is brighter and happier, and overall health seems to have improved. Patient has reported that because of his Hijama treatment plan he has been able to reduce his medication intake from twice a day to once a day, mashaaAllaah.
