No more stiff knees…

One of my patients had attended a Hijama workshop that I had organized at the local mosque. She did not know about Hijama originally, but wanted to learn more. She was cautious about the wet cupping, but after seeing the practical demonstration at the workshop, she felt a bit more confident about cupping therapy. So I encouraged her to initially come just for the dry cupping. She had so may ailments and I knew that Hijama would help her. She was aged 50+, and suffered from depression, obesity, arthritis, water retention and constipation. The main problem areas were her knees and ankles. These joints were very stiff and caused partial immobility sometimes. She also had a lot of swelling of the feet, due to poor circulation. She was very cautious at first, and felt nervous about cupping, but was fine during the session and actually enjoyed it.
At the end of the treatment, she left feeling much more mobile. She literally straightened her posture immediately. The stiffness in the joints had gone. She was able to walk down a long flight of stairs normally for the first time on years. Usually, she climbed up and down steps, one at a time, holding the banister. After her first dry cupping session, she did not even need any support. She tried Wet cupping after that and loved it! Her knees felt much better. Her follow up feedback showed that for the first time in months, she was able to pray her Salah standing up and was able to bend her knees properly. She had noticeably better bowel movement. But most importantly, she experienced a massive change in mind set. She did not feel depressed anymore. She was relaxed, comfortable and feeling very positive. Her happy mood was even rubbing off on her family, and they all wanted to try Hijama! She continued to visit once a week, for several weeks. She tried the Hijama wet cupping eventually and found that it helped the arthritis, depression and constipation tremendously. The swelling in her knees and ankles decreased considerably. Her overall experience was very positive and she referred many other patients.
